WWU Alumni Award Nominations

The Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes the nominee’s career long achievement, generally in the nominee’s chosen field, or a record of contribution to humanity.

The Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award recognizes achievement for a shorter period of time, contributions to Western Washington University, or a particularly special accomplishment.

Each award is based on the merits of; Professional Accomplishments, Western Washington University involvement/service to the University and Community Service.

Qualifications:

All nominees must be graduates of Western Washington University or one of its predecessor institutions of higher learning. Current members of the WWU Alumni Association Board of Directors, current members of the WWU Foundation Board of Directors and former recipients are not eligible for nomination.

Process:

The WWU Alumni Association Award Committee considers all nominations, selecting one Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award recipient and one or more Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award(s) recipient(s) annually. Recipients are expected to travel to WWU, participate in University activities, and attend the Distinguished Alumni Dinner/Reception held in their honor.

Nomination Procedure:

All nominations for 2007 awards must have their completed nomination form to the Alumni Association by July 10, 2007. Please complete the nomination form by clicking on the PDF file below and return to the Alumni Office. The Alumni Office reserves the right to do additional research on behalf of the Nominee. We may ask the nominator to supply additional information if needed. You may attach additional information to the form if needed.
