The International Business faculty group at Western Washington University is welcoming two new professors who will add to our mix of knowledge and teaching skills. Please join us to welcome our new faculty while catching up with fellow alumni.
Shih-Fen Chen, Kaiser Professor of International Business
Shih-Fen joins us from the “other” Western, University of Western Ontario, where he has built a career researching and teaching international business and international marketing. An award-winning case professor who also does consulting and training for other professors in Asia, he will teach the MBA International Business courses and elective undergraduate courses in specialties, such as supply chain relationships.
You can see his academic background here: https://www.ivey.uwo.ca/faculty/directory/shih-fen-chen/
Ted Alden, Professor of Canadian American Business Relationships
Ted will bring a political science and public policy perspective to our teaching and research team. He has been a Financial Times journalist and is now with the Council of Foreign Relations in Washington DC. You may have seen him give commentary on the PBS News Hour recently on the changes in NAFTA.
