Description

Check out this video to watch the Presenting a People-Centered Evaluation Framework.

Rather than research and evaluation being solely conducted for research’s sake, a people-centered evaluation framework centers the people, their context, culture, needs, and assets rather than focusing on the intervention, strategies, and initiatives. This talk presents some of the considerations of a people-centered framework such as authentic community engagement, the reframing of validity, and what’s considered rigorous when working directly with people. The presenter also introduces a new term based on community involvement. The presentation seeks to spur discussion on a framework that challenges how we think about and do research.

If you are able to join us in person, there will be a reception with light appetizers following the presentation from 5:00-5:45pm.
